Hello

I'm Matt, award winning Perth Artist & Designer. My work is diverse, but I mainly focus on Illustration, Murals, Character Design, as well as projects in Brand Design, User Interface and Animation. If you’ve seen my work before, it may have been a mural at a business in Perth, where I grew up. It could be in a national or international campaign for a brand. Or it could have been in one of my exhibitions, 2 of which were group shows at the Art Gallery of Western Australia. In my time as an illustrator & digital designer, I've had the pleasure of working with several agencies across Perth and Sydney, the likes of The Brand Agency, Wunderman Thompson, KWP&Partners, Digital Creators, Moonsail and Slik to name a few. My passion for design doesn't end with my work, I've also been honoured to mentor designers in Perth and Sydney. This includes Steph Tavaglini, now the designer at agency powerhouse Moonsail.

Mentorring

Steph Travaglini
In 2021 I had the pleasure of mentoring talented designer Steph Travaglini, now the Designer at Perth agency Moonsail. Steph has gone on to become an absolute weapon and queen of her craft, I was proud to see her win an AGDA merit as well as become the runner op for PADC Student Skulls - GO STEPH!

Loren Keir
In 2023 I had the opportunity to hire a freelancer that I could mentor as we work together on the Basiq brand. To me it was a no-brainer to hire Loren, with her talents and consistent engagement in the Sydney Design community. Together we worked on developing the Basiq brand as it expanded across teams, specifically assets that focussed on data and platform visualisation, as well as outbound marketing materials. To no surprise, Loren quickly got snapped up by an Agency called Holy Cow! Creative in a full time capacity, and she continues to deliver excellent work for them today.
