Hey, I'm Matt.

Illustrator and Digital Designer
based in Sydney Australia.

My work is diverse, but I mainly focus on Product Design and Illustration.

As a product designer, I'm proud to have worked with some of the best teams in Australia over the course of 5 years. With diversity being a common theme, I've worked across both iterative and innovative design solutions, from e-commerce to B2B products.

If you’ve seen my illustration work before, it may have been a mural at a business in Perth, where I grew up. It could be in a national or international campaign for a brand. Or it could have been in one of my exhibitions, 2 of which were group shows at the Art Gallery of Western Australia.

SLIK is a Digital agency based in Surry Hills, Sydney. During my time as Senior Digital Designer, I had the pleasure of working primarily on the Qantas account as well as numerous pitches to new clients. While working in a hybrid role where I learned a lot about the Sydney market after my move from Perth.

Thermomix
UX Designer & Digital Specialist
October 2020 - May 2022
Thermomix is a high end appliance company that specialises in all-in-one cooking appliances. In my role as UX/UI Designer, I wore many hats, from optimising the processes in then back end of the Shopify platform, to managing version control with the back end devs. However my primary role was building user flows and purchase journeys for the numerous products that Thermomix has available online.

During 2018 I was headhunted by The Brand Agency and had the pleasure of working with my mentor and Design Director Dan Agostino, under who I learnt a great deal about design processes and working with clients. I was also able to work with the the largest agency Design team in Perth across a plethora of great clients. Specialising in brand design, digital design, animation, UX and more. I am proud to look back on a positive relationship with clients such as Watercorp, Foodbank, City of Perth, WA Museum, UWA, Road Safety Commission, Mental Health Commission, Bankwest, The Perth Mint & more..

During my studies at Curtin, I was approached to work with the Curtin Careers team as their Digital Designer, before becoming their UX/UI Designer. During this time I was fortunate to work on a number of projects that impacted positively on the livelihood, education and safety of our students.
