Between the auctions, live entertainment, silent disco and amazing food and drink, there was so much to take in. But in all, vital funds were raised for Young Hearts, a domestic violence counselling service for children, dedicated to breaking the cycle of family and domestic violence.
I'm proud to have performed the live #illustration exhibit on the night, with the final piece being auctioned off for $3,200. With all proceeds going to the cause. ✍

Sharing the process of my live #illustration exhibit at the 2023 Anglicare Op Shop Ball over the weekend. 🎉
Easily one of the most challenging projects I've had to date. With only 2-3 hours to complete the piece, I set time limits in which I aimed to complete each section of the canvas. Practicing on a canvas of the same size before the event was something I'm happy I did. ✍️
What was more challenging was the texture of a #canvas that I haven't personally primed with gesso, my markers did not like how rough it was. A lesson for next time to organise shipment of a canvas I primed myself.
But in all I was happy with the result, and if you notice an empty box in the middle of the piece. This was for the lucky winner to add their own touch to the #artwork.
